PM chance leading operational transformation, governance & stakeholder engagement across transport ops

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join a major operational transformation program within a large, asset-intensive transport organisation. Working within a high-profile strategic project, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of operational modernisation initiatives that will shape future ways of working across the organisation. This position offers exposure to senior executives, government stakeholders and cross-functional teams while contributing to meaningful organisational change.

Your new role
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for driving project governance, coordinating stakeholders, managing project schedules and supporting implementation planning across multiple workstreams. This role would suit a proactive and self-motivated Project Manager who can comfortably navigate complex stakeholder environments, build relationships at all levels and drive project outcomes with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and delivery timelines
- Coordinate project governance activities, reporting and meeting outcomes
- Track actions, risks, issues, dependencies and deliverables
- Facilitate and chair stakeholder meetings
- Support implementation and change management initiatives
- Engage with executive, operational and government stakeholders
- Prepare project documentation, reports, presentations and briefing papers
- Drive accountability and ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved




- Identify project gaps and proactively implement solutions

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will possess:

- Demonstrated Project Management experience within complex organisations

- Strong project governance, planning and delivery expertise

- Proven stakeholder management skills across multiple business areas

- Excellent communication and influencing capabilities

- Ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of deliverables

- Experience supporting business transformation, operational improvement or organisational change initiatives

- Confidence working with senior leaders, Directors and Executive stakeholders

- Project Management qualifications (desirable
