What you will do

As Senior Licensing Officer, you will assess liquor applications under Victorian laws and policies.

You will make decisions, provide advice and guide licensing officers through complex work.

You will:

- assess applications for risk and complexity and determine suitable licensing outcomes
- process, assess and escalate applications under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 and other laws
- prepare clear correspondence, briefs and statements of reasons for applicants and industry participants
- respond to enquiries, investigate issues and provide sound advice on licensing matters
- monitor performance, improve processes and provide practical guidance to licensing officers.

About you

You should also have:

- strong legislative skills, with the ability to interpret and apply liquor laws
- regulatory knowledge, with an understanding of Victoria's liquor industry framework
- sound judgement and problem-solving skills for complex licensing matters
- clear communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
