About the role

O.S. Trees PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Arborist to join our professional team in Bathurst, NSW.

This is a full-time position that represents a key role within our organisation, combining technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. As an Arborist Level V, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality tree care services whilst mentoring junior staff and contributing to the strategic direction of our arboricultural operations. This role is based on-site in Bathurst, where you will work directly with clients and team members in a hands-on, outdoor environment.

What you'll be doing

- Conducting comprehensive tree assessments, diagnoses and health evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans

- Performing advanced tree pruning, trimming and removal operations using industry-leading techniques and equipment

- Managing complex arboricultural projects from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices

- Providing specialist advice to clients on tree health, species selection, planting strategies and long-term tree management

- Mentoring, supervising and training junior arborists and apprentices to develop their technical skills and knowledge

- Maintaining detailed records of work completed, tree conditions and client communications

- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including working at heights and operating specialised equipment safely

- Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and deliver exceptional customer service

- Contributing to the development of company procedures,



training materials and safety protocols

What we're looking for

- Formal qualification as an Arborist Level III or equivalent demonstrated experience and competency

- Valid driver's licence and reliable access to transport

- Minimum 2+ years of professional arboricultural experience, with significant time spent performing practical tree care operations

- In-depth knowledge of tree biology, species identification, pest and disease management, and arboricultural best practices

- Proven ability to operate and maintain professional arboricultural equipment, including chainsaws, rigging equipment and aerial devices

- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with experience supervising and training junior staff

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with clients and team members

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding manual labour in varying weather conditions

- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including health and safety requirements and environmental regulations

- Preferred: Experience with tree risk assessment, consulting or specialised arboricultural services
