About the role

Agnew Drilling is seeking an experienced Class 3 Driller to join our team on a casual basis. This position is based in Tintinara, SA 5266 and is integral to our drilling operations in the water well sector. As a Class 3 Driller, you will be responsible for operating drilling equipment with precision and safety, ensuring that all drilling activities meet regulatory standards and project requirements. This role offers the flexibility of casual work whilst providing meaningful contributions to our drilling operations. The role could become permanent to the right applicant.

Key responsibilities

- Operate drilling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with industry standards and company procedures

- Set up, calibrate and maintain drilling machinery and associated equipment

- Conduct pre-shift inspections and perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment

- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and site-specific regulations

- Assist in planning drill hole design and depths as directed by supervisors

- Maintain accurate records of drilling operations and equipment performance

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding drilling progress and any operational issues

- Respond to changes in site conditions and adjust drilling operations accordingly

- Support the company in achieving project timelines and safety objectives

What we're looking for

- Current and valid Class 3 Drillers License

- Proven experience operating drilling equipment





- Demonstrated knowledge of water well operations and safety protocols

- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in the drilling industry

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote or challenging environments

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual work in varying weather conditions

- Flexibility to work varied shifts and respond to operational demands

- Relevant training certificates or qualifications in drilling operations are advantageous
