Waste Services Officer
Permanent full-time
35 hours a week + Variable day off every 19-days
Salary: $82,918.16 - $96,364.07 + 12% Superannuation per annum

What You'll Do
As our Waste Services Officer, you will report to the Coordinator Waste Services and play a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient, sustainable, and customer-focused waste services across the Wingecarribee Shire.
In this role, you will assist with the administration and management of Council's domestic and commercial waste collection, disposal, and processing contracts, ensuring services continue to meet the current and future needs of our community. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and reconciling waste data, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Working closely with coordinator, contractors, internal stakeholders, and the community, you will help drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the effective delivery of Council's waste management programs.

What You'll Need (Essential Criteria)
1. Diploma in Business Administration/Finance or related discipline,
or extensive experience in administration
2. Demonstrated high level experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
3. Sound understanding of dealing with internal and external customers including written and verbal communication on a daily basis, including the ability to apply discretion with sensitive information
4. Demonstrated experience in the provision of accurate reports from complex data systems/ sources applying attention to detail, accuracy within an agreed timeframe.
5. Sound understanding of contract requirements and management.
6. An understanding of local government and role within the community.
