We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Program Coordinator - Community & Family to lead and coordinate services that support people during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager - Community Regional Services Access and Engagement, you will provide operational leadership and oversight across a range of Community and Family programs, ensuring services are safe, effective, compliant and responsive to community needs.
You'll work closely with frontline teams, stakeholders and community partners to coordinate service delivery, support complex client outcomes and ensure contractual and program requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the daily operation of Community and Family programs.
- Support teams delivering homelessness, crisis accommodation, family support, youth support and emergency relief services.
- Provide leadership, supervision, coaching and development to staff.
- Oversee client-centred case management practices and service planning.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with government and community stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, funding requirements, policies and quality frameworks.
- Monitor program performance, reporting and data quality.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous service improvement.
- Participate in a paid on-call roster.
About You
You are a collaborative and values-driven leader with experience supporting vulnerable communities. You combine strong operational capability with a genuine commitment to client outcomes and team success.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Human Services, Leadership or a related discipline, with substantial relevant experience.
- Experience within youth, family, homelessness, housing or community services sectors.
- Sound understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- Eligible to obtain a Queensland Application for Suitability Check.
- Current Open C Class Driver Licence.
- Ability to participate in a four-week rotating on-call roster.
Selection Criteria
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
1. Experience in social housing and/or crisis accommodation programs, including knowledge of relevant legislation and practice frameworks.
2. Knowledge of issues affecting children,
young people and families, particularly those involved with child protection systems.
3. Experience applying client-centred case management principles in complex environments.
4. Understanding of homelessness and the barriers people face in achieving stability, safety and independence.
5. Knowledge of community-based service delivery models and relevant practice frameworks.
6. Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and program requirements.
7. Strong leadership capability and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
8. Highly developed interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
9. Strong written communication and reporting skills.
10. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills or the ability to quickly acquire them.
