We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead – Electrical to join the maintenance team at the Darling Downs Power Station in Dalby.
This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to an experienced electrical tradesperson who can lead a small team while providing technical expertise across the maintenance and operation of critical power generation assets.

About the role
You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of electrical maintenance activities across the Darling Downs Power Station, ensuring plant and equipment is maintained safely, reliably and effectively.
As the Maintenance Lead – Electrical, you will lead a small team and provide technical advice to both Production and Maintenance teams. You will be responsible for prioritising daily and weekly maintenance activities, supporting planned and unplanned outages, fault-finding equipment and process failures, and identifying opportunities to improve maintenance practices and plant performance.
The role will work across a broad range of power generation equipment and involve:
- Leading routine and non-routine electrical maintenance activities
- Providing technical advice and support to Maintenance and Operations teams
- Planning and prioritising daily and weekly maintenance activities
- Leading major and minor plant outages and project works
- Fault-finding equipment and process failures
- Supporting incident investigations and identifying root causes
- Driving continuous improvement across maintenance processes and work practices
- Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, procedures and Permit to Work systems
- Developing and supporting the capability of the electrical maintenance team
- Contributing to site and capital budgets
About you
- Electrical trade licence
- Proven experience in a similar electrical maintenance leadership role
- Strong experience working within a power generation, power station or heavy industrial workplace
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Maintenance/Work Management practices
- Experience working within a Permit to Work system
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
- Good commercial awareness and financial literacy
- Experience leading and developing a maintenance team
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- 5+ years' leadership experience highly regarded
- Instrumentation and Controls experience highly regarded
- Experience with boiler, steam or gas turbine operation and maintenance highly regarded
- Project Management and Management of Change experience highly regarded
- Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar highly regarded
- Full Australian Work Rights Required
- Must live locally in or around Dalby
