About the role

The Labourer is responsible for carrying out a range of skilled manual tasks to support construction fit out works. The role involves working under supervision, assisting qualified tradespeople, operating tools and equipment safely, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Australian workplace health and safety legislation and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform skilled manual labour tasks such as cutting material / moving material / cleaning / assisting staff with install of ceilings / preparation of material as directed by leading hands.

- Assist tradespeople as required.

- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

- Follow project plans, instructions,



and safety procedures.

- Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times.

- Carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs.

- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.

- Identify and report hazards, defects, or equipment issues.

- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.

- Complete tasks within set timeframes and quality standards.

Key relationships: Works closely with supervisors, leading hands, and fellow tradespersons, and liaises with contractors.

Education, Work Experience & Skills required, Personal Qualities

Work Experience and Skills:

- Proven experience as a labourer or similar role.

- Competency in using hand and power tools.

- Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.

- Solid work ethic and positive attitude.

- Physically fit and capable of manual work.

Personal Attributes:

- Reliable and punctual.

Qualifications and Licences Required

- White Card

- Reliable transport

- EWP ticket required (11 metres & under)

Additional Requirements

- Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats, including technical discussions, reporting, documentation, and correspondence with colleagues and clients.
