As Handyperson, you will play an integral part in assisting with the day-to-day maintenance of the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings, keeping the hotel a safe and pleasant environment for guests, visitors and team members, and every experience reflects the high standards of our luxury brand.

Main responsibilities:

- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with day-to-day maintenance requirements across the hotel.
- Complete daily plant rounds, noting any equipment that appears or sounds faulty for repair.
- Carry out maintenance on equipment and water reticulation to ensure reliable availability.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
- Carry out maintenance requirements as scheduled by the hotel’s property management system, and keep records up to date.
- Liaise with relevant teams on work in guest rooms and public areas so out-of-order areas return to use as quickly as possible.
- Complete tasks within the required timeframe and report back on completion or delay of guest-related work.
- Plan and prioritise jobs to meet deadlines and handle emergencies appropriately.
- Keep the workshop safe, clean and well organised.

Your experience and skills include:





- Minimum of 12 months’ demonstrated experience in general building maintenance.
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Trade qualifications preferred.
- Experienced operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools.
- Basic computer skills and good written and spoken English.
- A warm, engaging, and skilled presentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A team-focused attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond for guests.
- Valid Australian Working Rights / Visa is essential.
