At Shangri-La, The Marina, Cairns, we have an excellent prospect for a Group Reservations Agent to join our Sales and Marketing team.

You will be working closely with our Revenue Manager and Sales and Marketing Team to coordinate and oversee the administration for all group bookings.

The Hotel

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 18 function venues and extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.

The Role
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Undertake all group reservation tasks such as actioning release backs, follow up deposit schedules and loading rooming lists




Ability to work under pressure and problem solve
Fast and accurate data entry with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to effectively manage your time and multitask to ensure deadlines and timeframes are met
Exceptional telephone technique and communication skills
Previous experience in a Reservations/Front Office Management (preferred)
Experience using Opera PMS (preferred)
