Abaxa is looking for experienced Subsurface Utility Locators who take pride in accurate work, put safety first and want to build a long-term career with a professional field team.

You’ll work across a variety of metro and regional infrastructure projects, using EM and GPR technology to locate and map underground services and help protect people, infrastructure and our customers’ projects.

What You’ll Do
Locate underground utilities using EM and GPR equipment
Interpret utility plans and service records
Mark, map and document underground infrastructure accurately
Work directly with customers and project teams in the field
Complete explicit reports, sketches and digital records
Maintain and care for locating equipment




Work safely around critical underground infrastructure
Take ownership of your jobs from start to finish

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have:
2+ years’ utility locating or similar field experience
Certloc Locator qualification or willingness to obtain
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Construction White Card
Strong safety focus
Good communication and customer service skills
A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude

Highly regarded:
GPR experience
First Aid & CPR
Western Power, ATCO or APA certifications
Confined Space and Gas Atmosphere training
