JewishCare is a leading, child-safe social services organisation supporting the resilience and independence of individuals and families across the NSW community.

We are seeking an experienced Caseworker to join our Community Services & Engagement team on a 6-month part time fixed-term contract (2 days per week). This role is ideal for a qualified professional seeking meaningful, flexible work within a values-driven organisation.

About the role

You will work closely with individuals and families to assess eligibility for practical and financial assistance and deliver high-quality, person-centred case management. Using strengths-based and trauma-informed practice, you will support clients with complex needs to achieve improved wellbeing, independence and stability.

Key responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive case management and care planning
Undertake comprehensive client assessments
Assess and manage risk, including child protection, family violence, suicide ideation and self-harm
Conduct financial assessments in line with organisational procedures
Maintain accurate,



timely and confidential client documentation
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment

Essential criteria
Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology (eligible for registration)
Demonstrated casework experience with individuals and families
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
Experience managing complex client risk and mandatory reporting obligations
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Knowledge of relevant legislation and community resource
Experience in one or more of the following; mental health, disability, aged care, child & family services

Desirable
Russian or Hebrew language skills
Understanding and sensitivity of Jewish Culture and Values
