Job Description

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our Melbourne-based Finance team on a 12-month parental leave cover.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead the financial accounting team through an key period of change. You’ll own the Group’s month-end close and management reporting, provide technical accounting guidance, and play a key role in the ERP transition and the improvements that follow.

What you'll do:
Lead the end-to-end month-end close process for the Group, coordinating the team and delivering accurate monthly management accounts with transparent variance analysis.
Oversee Group balance sheet reconciliations, business unit reporting and cost centre reporting, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.




Act as the escalation point for technical accounting matters and manage the relationship with external auditors through the statutory audit process.
Lead, coach and develop a financial accounting team of five, including allocating workloads, setting priorities and conducting bi-annual performance reviews.
Guide the team through the ERP transition, supporting go-live in the first half of FY27 and the stabilisation period that follows.
Partner with the Financial Controller, CFO and IT to improve the accuracy, efficiency and usefulness of financial reporting and accounting processes.
Support the wider Finance team, including Accounts Payable, and contribute to ad hoc projects as required.
