Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to telecom networks.
Collaborate with internal teams to implement new telecom solutions.
Monitor network performance and ensure optimal functionality.
Document system configurations and maintain up-to-date records.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for telecom-related queries.
Assist in the deployment and configuration of telecom hardware and software.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:
Experience in a similar role across telcom or network roles
End-to-end 4G core signalling knowledge, including MME, HSS, SGW, PGW and PCRF.
Practical understanding of signalling flows such as attach, authentication, location update, handover and session teardown.




Hands-on knowledge of protocols such as NAS, S1AP, Diameter, GTP, SS7, SIP and IMS.
Roaming and interconnect understanding, including operator-to-operator signalling and IPX or hub carrier boundaries.
Good understanding of where 5G still depends on LTE signalling, especially in non-standalone environments.
OSS/BSS understanding, including how those systems integrate with the mobile core and where legacy or unmanaged systems may create risk.
Enough security awareness to identify what signalling exposure could enable, such as location tracking, SMS interception, fraud or denial of service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team workplace and independently.
Relevant qualifications in technology or telecommunications.
