Metrowest is growing and we’re looking for a capable Draftsperson to support our team. This is a wide-ranging, fast-paced role suited to someone who is organised, detail-focused and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

About the Role

Metrowest Technical Projects Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our team.

The successful candidate will possess robust technical drafting skills and extensive experience using AutoCAD or Revit (highly desirable) to produce accurate, high-quality drawings and documentation. You will work closely with management, consultants, and contractors to develop plans that are practical, compliant, and aligned with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of detailed design drawings and documentation (AutoCAD or similar)
Interpretation of client specifications, scopes, and engineering requirements
Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards and client requirements
Developing concept, design development, and working drawings
Amending and updating plans as required throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinating with consultants, engineers, and clients
Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations,



and standards
Maintaining accurate project documentation and drawing records

About You
Proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD or similar)
Experience with Revit and Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong understanding of construction methods and building systems
Knowledge of Australian Standards and drafting conventions
Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Essential
Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (MEM40422 or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
