Job Description:

Curry Twist Indian restaurant, located in Petrie, QLD, is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Cook at Curry Twist, you will have the chance to showcase your culinary talents and create delicious Indian dishes for our customers.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our restaurant's recipes and standards
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely and effective manner
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are always available
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new and innovative dishes
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, if required
Assist with menu planning and cost control measures

Requirements:




Certificate III in commercial cookery or above
Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role
Passion for Indian cuisine and a strong understanding of Indian cooking techniques and flavors
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and handle pressure
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Robust communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Availability to work weekends and evenings as required
