Inspira Kids is seeking a passionate and reliable Early Childhood Cook to join our Lakelands Centre in a Permanent Part-Time capacity.

In this role, you will be responsible for
Preparing healthy, nutritious and age-appropriate meals and snacks for children
Preparing meals in accordance with Food Safety and Nutrition Guidelines
Maintaining safe and hygienic food preparation, storage and kitchen practices
Ensuring all allergy and dietary requirements are strictly adhered to
Ordering and managing food supplies in collaboration with Centre Management




Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage
Adhering to and maintaining kitchen standards that meet the requirements set forth by the Department of Health and all other relevant regulatory requirements
Completing kitchen records, temperature checks and cleaning schedules
Assisting in creating positive mealtime experiences for children
Building positive relationships with children, families and team members

About You

The successful applicant will ideally possess:
Previous experience as a Cook and/or a relevant qualification (e.g. cookery, food preparation, catering)
Current Food Handlers and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Current Working with Children's Check
Experience working in an Early Childcare Setting (highly regarded)
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure
