A market-leader in community program support is seeking a resourceful Occupational Therapist to join their team on a casual, part-time or full time basis. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist who would primarily support paediatric clients

Job Responsibilities:
Assessing the home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.
Skill Development in self-care, self-management, home management.
Identifying high risk tasks in workplaces and suggesting safer alternatives.
Coaching clients through tasks they find challenging (e.g. wheelchair, orthotic and prosthetic devices).
Modification of environment (e.g. home, work, school etc.) and adaptation of processes.
Advising on assistive technologies to help clients with daily activities.
Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients gain skills for independence.
Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.




Maintaining professional knowledge and technical progress to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health and preparing reports.

Requirements
A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Registration with AHPRA
Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and therapy programs.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to take care of clients with varied personalities and disabilities.
Computer proficiency with various tasks.
Ability to assess patients condition and work with treatment plans.
