We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Parks & Recreation team on a casual basis. This role assists with the maintenance and presentation of parks, gardens, sports fields, playgrounds, and public open spaces across the council area.

Casual Parks & Recreation Labourer

Position: Casual Parks & Recreation Labourer

Location: Maitland, NSW Local Government Area

Employment Type: Casual

Responsibilities
Mowing, whipper snipping, edging, and general grounds maintenance
Garden and landscape maintenance
Litter collection and cleaning of public areas
Operating small plant and equipment
Assisting with sports field and playground upkeep




Tree watering and basic horticultural tasks
Following WHS and council safety procedures

Essential Requirements
Current NSW Driver Licence
White Card
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Valuable communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and physically fit
Recent RMS Driving History
Recent Police Check

Desirable Requirements
Experience in parks, landscaping, horticulture, or civil works
Chainsaw, brush cutter, or chemical handling tickets
MR licence
First Aid certificate
