We are seeking an experiencedAPI Test Automation Leadwith strong hands‐on expertise inREST Assured and Javato lead API automation, test strategy, and quality engineering initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing scalable API automation frameworks, leading testing teams, and validating complex REST APIs and microservices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance ofAPI automation frameworks using REST Assured and Java.
Define and implementAPI test strategies, automation approaches, and best practices.
Develop automated test scenarios coveringfunctional, integration, regression, negative, and end-to-end API testing.
ValidateREST APIs, microservices, request/response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, and error handling.
Integrate API automation suites withCI/CD pipelinesfor continuous testing.
Work closely with developers, architects, business teams, and other QA teams to identify quality risks and testing requirements.
Perform API validation using tools such asPostman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
Implement test data management,



reusable utilities, assertions, reporting, and framework enhancements.
Mentor and guide automation engineers and drive technical excellence within the QA team.
Analyze automation failures, investigate defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
Contribute to overalltest planning, estimation, defect management, and quality metrics.
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands‐on experience withREST Assured
Extensive experience inAPI Testing and API Automation
Experience developing automation frameworks from scratch
Solid knowledge ofREST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and authentication
Experience withPostman and Swagger/OpenAPI
Experience withTestNG or JUnit
Experience integrating automation withJenkins / GitLab / Azure DevOps CI/CD
Strong understanding ofMicroservices and API integration testing
Experience leading or mentoring QA/Automation teams
