About the Role
IT Alliance Australia is seeking an experiencedPart-Time Finance Manager / Financial Controllerto provide financial oversight, management reporting and strong financial controls across our business.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced finance professional who can take ownership ofmonth-end close, reconciliations, management accounts, cash flow and financial controls, while helping us improve the overall structure and maturity of our finance function.
Our payroll and day-to-day transactional activities are supported by existing team members.
This role will independently review and reconcile these activities and ensure management has accurate and timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Manage themonth-end closeand prepare/review P&L;, Balance Sheet and cash-flow reporting.
Perform and reviewgeneral ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
Reconcileaccounts receivable and accounts payableand monitor outstanding debtors/creditors.
Reconcile consultant/contractortimesheets against client invoicing and payroll/contractor payments.
Identify missing timesheets, unbilled revenue, billing discrepancies and potential margin leakage.
Reconcilepayroll, wages, PAYG, superannuation and STPagainst payroll reports, bank payments and the general ledger.
Review and reconcileGST/BAS, ATO accounts and payroll taxlodgements and liabilities.
Monitor statutory payment and lodgement obligations and work with our payroll team and external accountant as required.
Prepare monthly management reporting coveringrevenue, expenses, profitability, gross margins,



cash flow and working capital.
Analyse profitability and margins byclient, consultant/contractor and engagement.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning.
Review existing finance processes and implement practicalfinancial controls, reconciliations and process improvements.
Support year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/advisers as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous experience as aFinance Manager, Financial Controller, Management Accountant or Senior Accountant.
CA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong hands-on month-end and financial reconciliation experience.
Good understanding of Australianpayroll, superannuation, PAYG, GST/BAS and payroll tax.
Strong Excel and accounting-system skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide meaningful financial insights to management.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function for the agreed days.
Experience withinrecruitment, labour hire, ICT contracting, consulting or professional serviceswould be highly regarded.
