About The Role
Reporting to the Manager of Food, Fibre and Animal Industries, this role is responsible for the effective operation of the Horticulture, Landscape, Arboriculture, Parks & Gardens, Animal Studies, Beekeeping and Floristry Stores across multiple campuses.
You will coordinate the procurement, storage, distribution and management of equipment, materials and consumables that support teaching, learning and commercial activities. The role also oversees inventory systems, workplace safety, compliance, supplier relationships,



facilities maintenance scheduling and logistics to ensure high-quality operational support.
Reporting to the Manager of Food, Fibre and Animal Industries, this position suits someone with strong organisational, procurement and operational skills who enjoys supporting teaching and learning in a practical environment.
What You'll Do
Coordinate the procurement, receipt, storage and distribution of equipment, materials and consumables
Maintain accurate inventory records, stock control and asset management systems
Develop supplier relationships, obtain competitive quotations and undertake stocktakes
Prepare procurement, inventory and financial reports and maintain digital procurement, inventory and asset management systems
Coordinate the preparation, issue and return of equipment for practical teaching and manage logistics between campuses
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate servicing by approved contractors
Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Institute policies, including chemical registers, SDS, Test and Tag and compliance records
Conduct inspections, risk assessments and audits and ensure the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials
Monitor operational expenditure, support budgeting and assist Education Managers with resource planning
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and deliver high-quality operational support across the stores
Essential




Relevant qualifications in logistics, procurement, stores management or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in procurement, inventory and asset management
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to build productive relationships with staff, suppliers and contractorsStrong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
Experience using inventory and purchasing systems
Current Full Manual Australian Driver Licence
Current Employee Working with Children Check
Forklift Licence
Desirable
White Card
Current First Aid Certificate
Chemical Users Accreditation
