About The Team
The Office of Learning, Teaching and Technology plays a key role in advancing high-quality, inclusive and future-focused education at Murdoch University.
Through innovative learning and teaching initiatives, the team supports student success and develops graduates equipped with adaptability, fresh perspectives and a strong sense of social conscience.
Your New Role!
Drive the implementation of inclusive teaching practices across the University, championing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and best-practice inclusive teaching practice.
Collaborate with academic and professional staff to enhance learning accessibility, provide expert advice on policy and practice, and support an inclusive learning environment for all students.
Your key responsibilities will include –
Lead inclusive education initiatives by driving the University's inclusive education strategy and champion the adoption of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to enhance access, participation and student success
Support and build capability by partnering with academic and professional staff to embed inclusive teaching practices, deliver professional learning, and promote the effective use of accessible learning technologies
Provide strategic advice and advocacy to shape inclusive education policy and practice, evaluate the impact of initiatives, and promote compliance with legislative and sector standards

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $116k – $133k (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you'll bring to the role
Postgraduate qualifications in education, learning design, or related fields and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in accessible and inclusive teaching practices and curriculum design within higher education
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering professional learning programs that support inclusive teaching practices and accessible learning environments
Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage diverse stakeholders, communicate effectively, and balance competing priorities to achieve outcomes
Strong knowledge of disability legislation, accessibility standards, and technology platforms that enhance learning accessibility, with the ability to analyse and report on data
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice, with the ability to build strong relationships across a range of stakeholders
