Croydon Shire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Town Services Supervisor to lead the delivery of essential town services across the Shire.
This is a rewarding leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing hands‐on operations with team leadership, project coordination and asset management.
You'll oversee water treatment operations, parks and gardens maintenance and infrastructure services that directly enhance the quality of life for the Croydon community.
The Town Services Supervisor provides effective leadership and hands‐on management of Council's water treatment operations, town parks and gardens maintenance, and the delivery of supporting infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead water treatment operations and town services
Oversee parks, gardens and public open space maintenance
Coordinate infrastructure maintenance and capital works
Supervise staff, contractors and daily operations
Support secure, sustainable and reliable service delivery
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Relevant trade, engineering or technical qualification, or substantial equivalent experience
Experience in water treatment operations and/or local government infrastructure (desirable)




Proven leadership and supervisory experience
Strong project delivery and contractor management skills
Financial and budgeting capability
Knowledge of water, WHS and Local Government legislation
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence

Croydon Shire Council offers a competitive remuneration package recognising the unique benefits of living and working in remote Queensland.
The total remuneration package is valued at approximately $103,000–$112,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) and includes:
Base salary from approximately $85,000–$92,000 per annum
12% superannuation
