Field Technician – Natural Workplace
Salary: $75,760 per annum ($1,456 per week)
Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
Permanent Full time

Have you had training and experience in the maintenance of natural areas and enjoy working outdoors?
Parks and Natural Environment are seeking a passionate Field Technician to join our Natural Environment team.
In this hands on role you will undertake natural area regeneration duties including chemical and manual weed control, planting, fencing, seed collection and propagation of native plants.
What you'll bring
To be successful for this position you will have relevant experience and will hold the following mandatory tickets and qualifications:
WA C Class Driver's Licence.
Chemical Certificate (Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases AHCCHM30, Transport and store chemicals AHCCHM304 and Control weeds AHCPMG301).
Relevant tertiary qualification in Conservation and Ecosystem Management and relevant experience.
Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card) must be provided within three months of appointment.
Current Working with Children Check must be provided within three months of appointment.
DWG Green Card (Phytophthora Dieback) must be provided within three months of appointment.

If you do not currently hold them, the City will support successful applicants to obtain the following mandatory certificates:
Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificates.
Current First Aid Certificate including CPR (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009).
Chainsaw Operating Certificate.
