ABOUT THE ROLE
Our successful
Clinical Nurse Specialist
candidate will act as a key clinical and scientific interface with our medical community.
This role combines practitioner‐centric clinical expertise with scientific engagement, while supporting healthcare professionals (HCPs) and internal teams in the safe and effective use of cannabinoid therapies.
You will play a key role in delivering clinical guidance, supporting prescribing pathways, and ensuring best‐practice patient outcomes in a rapidly evolving area of medicine.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Scientific Engagement
Establish and maintain relationships with HCPs and key stakeholders
Provide accurate, evidence‐based information on cannabinoid therapies, including safety, efficacy, and appropriate use
Present clinical data and research insights at meetings, conferences, and educational events
Clinical Support
Support treatment planning and medication management in collaboration with practitioners and dispensing pharmacies.
Assist with clinical pathways and practitioner onboarding
Support clinical trials and research initiatives, including study facilitation
Education and Training
Develop and deliver education programs for HCPs and internal teams
Work with sales and support teams to ensure compliant and accurate communication of clinical information
Medical Information
Respond to medical inquiries with accurate, evidence‐based information
Monitor and communicate relevant scientific literature and developments in medicinal cannabis
Regulatory and Compliance
Ensure all activities align with TGA, SAS‐B, and Authorised Prescriber frameworks
Collaborate with regulatory teams on documentation and submissions
Cross‐functional Collaboration
Work closely with Clinical, Sales, and Marketing teams
Contribute to medical strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Tertiary qualification in Nursing or Pharmacy
Eligibility for AHPRA registration highly regarded, but not essential
Strong clinical experience in a practitioner‐facing environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid/remote setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Nurse Consultant, or professional nursing or pharmacy roles
Experience in medicinal cannabis or strong interest in cannabinoid therapeutics
Background in chronic disease, pain management, mental health, or palliative care
Knowledge of Australian healthcare and regulatory systems (TGA, SAS pathways)
Strong presentation and relationship‐building capabilities
Experience with telehealth and digital health platforms
