Your role
An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse with Acute Medical experience to join our dynamic and supportive team.
Our Acute Medical Ward 3C is a 30-bed acute medical ward, featuring six cardiac-monitored rooms and portable telemetry available throughout the remainder of the ward.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise within a fast-paced, collaborative environment while providing high-quality care to our patients.
As a Clinical Nurse within our Acute Medical Service, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and support to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based and high-quality patient-centred care.
You will play a key role in acute medical procedures, patient education, quality improvement initiatives, and the mentoring, support and professional development of nursing colleagues.
This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist nursing care within a busy and progressive service department, while contributing to high-quality patient outcomes and clinical excellence.
This career opportunity is ideal for a nurse holding advanced clinical skills, experience in Acute Medical care with a passion for improving patient outcomes, whilst mentoring others to drive continuous improvement.
The position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, working a minimum of 42 hours per fortnight, on a rotating shift roster across Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced clinical nursing care for patients undergoing Acute Medical procedures.
Supervise clinical practice of all caregivers taking responsibility for standard of care delivered.
Mentor and support nursing staff and students.
Initiate, review and coordinate care of patients with complex health problems.
Serve as a patient advocate, always protecting the rights and safety of patients.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, sterilisation,



and patient safety standards.
Actively contributes to the development of Acute Medical clinical policies and procedures.
Responsible and accountable for nominated portfolios as designated by Nurse Unit Manager and actively communicate with Nurse Unit Manager regarding updates.
To succeed in this role, you will hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with significant post-registration experience and advanced clinical skills.
You will be a confident clinical leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor, support and inspire others.
Experience in Acute Medical care, as well as quality improvement and clinical education, will be highly regarded.
You will be a collaborative, organised and proactive professional who is committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
Your ability to build strong working relationships, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to a positive team culture will be complemented by proficiency in contemporary clinical systems and a genuine commitment to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: $109,599 to $115,681 (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation.
Permanent part-time position, working minimum 42 hours per fortnight, on a rotating shift roster across Monday to Sunday.
