We are seeking a full-time Painting Trades Worker with Rope access licence (IRATA) to join Converge Services on the Gold Coast.
The role involves preparing, repairing and finishing residential and/or commercial surfaces, applying paint and protective coatings, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, safely and efficiently.
Salary: $79,423 - $82,000 plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, filling cracks, removing old paint and cleaning surfaces.
Protect surrounding areas by using drop sheets, masking materials and appropriate preparation methods.
Mix, match and prepare paints, stains, varnishes and other finishes to meet job specifications.
Apply paint, varnish, stains and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.




Carry out finishing work to ensure surfaces are smooth, consistent and completed to a qualified standard.
Set up and safely use ladders, scaffolding and other access equipment where required.
Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups or repairs where necessary.
Clean and maintain tools, painting equipment and work areas.
Work in accordance with safety procedures, site requirements and project timelines.
Key Skills and Experience
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, Certificate IV, or equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience.
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Painting Trades Worker, Painter or in a closely related role.
Fluent in English.
