Clinical Nurse – Breast Care | The Wesley Hospital Breast Clinic
Employment Type: Casual opportunity available.
Location: Auchenflower, just 5 minutes from Toowong Village and 10 minutes from Brisbane CBD
Remuneration: $***** - $***** per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

An integral part of our team at The Wesley Hospital as a Clinical Nurse – Breast Care, you'll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered to make the everyday easier for the people we care so passionately about.
Join a highly skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional breast care services and personalised support to patients throughout their healthcare journey.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating Breast Screening and MRI clinics.
Clinical coordination within diagnostic clinics.
Breast Examinations
Patient care coordination and support throughout their treatment journey.
Liaising with Breast Physicians, Breast Surgeons and Breast Radiologists.
Assisting with procedures including Hookwire and Savi Scout Localisations and Vacuum Assisted Biopsies.
Management and support of Contrast Enhanced Mammography patients.
Conducting breast cancer risk assessments.
Supporting newly diagnosed and high‐risk patients.
Providing patient education and resources.
Supporting and mentoring Enrolled Nursing staff.
Attending and contributing to Breast MDT meetings.
This role is primarily rostered between 7:00am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility may be required to support clinic operations and leave coverage.
What makes a difference for us?
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 12 months post graduate experience in Breast Care Nursing.
Post Graduate Certificate in Breast Cancer Nursing, or currently working towards completion.
Previous breast screening experience (highly regarded).
Experience performing clinical breast examinations (desirable).
IV cannulation experience (highly desirable).
Experience assisting patients undergoing contrast-based imaging procedures (highly desirable).
Flexibility to assist with annual leave and sick leave coverage.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Proven patient‐centred focus on safety,



quality and compassionate care.
Excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available for this position).
