Town Services Supervisor
Located approximately 550km south-west of Cairns and just south of the base of the Gulf of Carpentaria, in the heart of the Gulf Savannah country, lies the quaint and beautiful town of Croydon.

The Position:To provide effective leadership and hands-on management of Council's water treatment operations, town parks and gardens maintenance, supporting capital works program and ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure and services for the residents and citizens of Croydon Shire Council.
The position also supports the delivery of capital works and infrastructure projects, contributing to efficient service delivery, asset sustainability and positive community outcomes across the Shire.
Skills / Experience Required:To be successful in the role, you will need:
Relevant trade,



engineering or technical qualification, or substantial equivalent experience.
Experience in water treatment operations and/or local government infrastructure maintenance (desirable).
Proven supervisory and team leadership experience.
Strong project delivery and contractor management skills.
Financial and budgeting capability.
Knowledge of relevant water, WHS and local government legislation.
High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly manner.
Solid organisational, time management and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook and other business applications.
Current C Class Driver's Licence.
