About the role
As an Administration Assistant, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing efficient administrative and operational support to the Corps, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and advancing The Salvation Army's mission and objectives.
Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a permanent part-time role offering 16 hours per week, based on-site in Greenway, ACT.
The role is required to support Corps operating hours of Tuesday to Thursday, 9:30am to 2:30pm, with some flexibility in the allocation of hours across these days.
How you will make an impact
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Corps, including reception, correspondence, meeting coordination, record management, and office administration.
Coordinate Corps communications across newsletters, email campaigns, social media, websites, and promotional materials to support engagement and outreach.
Maintain accurate volunteer records, including onboarding, compliance checks, training records, and liaison with relevant TSA teams.
Manage Corps calendars, church service data, facility hire administration, and ensure organisational records and documentation remain accurate and up to date.
Support the maintenance, presentation, and operational readiness of Corps facilities, assets, vehicles, and equipment, including contractor coordination and asset register management.
Promote a safe and compliant workplace by maintaining WHS records, reporting hazards and incidents, and supporting adherence to TSA policies and procedures.
What you will bring
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the use of software application packages including work processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, databases, communications and record management
Strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Certificate in Business Administration desirable
At least 2 years' experience in administration
A national police record check is required
A current Working with Children's Check

Compensation is in accordance with Clerks Award Level 3
