Bid Manager
Our client is seeking a Bid Manager to join their team based in Sydney, NSW.
They are at the cutting edge of creating and developing technologies that would be considered the spearhead in their domain.
They are world leaders in designing, manufacturing and integrating high end RF, electronics and C4/C5ISR engineering capabilities for defence and government.
The Bid Manager will be responsible for the Bid life cycle including quality, planning and establishing the bid as well as the bid schedule.
They will be responsible for cross coordinating functional teams the input from project managers, legal commercial financial procurement et cetera to help determine the bid response structure.
The role:
Manage the execution of all bids
Contributing to bid strategy, win themes and win price
Work closely with Sales & Marketing Director, and Capture Leads
Ensuring all bids are of high quality and are submitted on time
Manage bids and quotations to the highest quality standards
Ensure cost efficient manner ensuring a high success rate.
Work with cross functional teams as mentioned
Conduct Commitment Control Reviews and Risk Assessment Committee meetings
Coordinate any presentations to the customer on the bid




Support contract negotiations
Work with finance on price modelling
EXPERIENCE
Must have 10 years' experience in Bid Management
Must have thorough experience in the ASDEFCON templated structure
High success rate in managing complex bids, mentoring and other activities to ensure successful outcome
Strong background of how to win commercial and/or defence bids
Experience in developing winning bid strategiesl
Experience in managing the development of bid cost budgets
Exceptional written communication skills including authoring content and editing other content
Must have an active AGSVA issued NV1 to apply.
Candidates who have experience working alongside bid teams who have most of the experience indicated above should apply.
This role requires candidates who would take a pragmatic approach, have a problem solving ability and a valuable communication style both with internal and external clients.
This is a busy role that requires a level of maturity, interpersonal skills with a communication style that builds confidence and creates a winning feel.
