About the opportunity In this influential leadership role, you'll shape the future of external engagement at Sydney Law School, build high-value partnerships, and work closely with senior University leaders to advance strategic priorities and strengthen the School's global profile.
This unique fixed-term opportunity supports the School's external engagement and partnership priorities during a period of long service leave (September **** to July ****).
You'll lead key engagement initiatives, strengthen strategic partnerships, and provide leadership to the External Engagement and Partnerships team.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
lead the development and execution of the Law School's strategic external engagement priorities
build and maintain influential relationships with industry, government, alumni, international partners and other key stakeholders




identify and advance partnership opportunities that enhance the School's reputation, reach and impact
provide strategic advice and support to the Dean and senior leadership on external engagement and partnership initiatives
lead and coordinate the interim External Engagement and Partnerships team, ensuring delivery of key priorities and operational effectiveness
contribute to strategic planning and decision-making as a member of the Sydney Law School Leadership Group
About you
relevant tertiary qualifications in business, communications, public policy, international relations, marketing, law, education, or a related discipline.
Postgraduate qualifications and/or equivalent experience will be highly regarded
extensive experience in external engagement, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, business development, or a related field within a large and complex organisation
experience building and maintaining influential relationships with senior stakeholders across industry, government, academia and the broader community
demonstrated success delivering strategic initiatives that enhance organisational reputation and achieve measurable outcomes
exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide trusted advice to senior leaders
strong leadership, judgement and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and deliver results in a energetic environment.
Experience in higher education,
