The Opportunity
Are you an experienced infection prevention clinician ready to take the next step in your career?
We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in shaping infection prevention practice across Cabrini.
This is an opportunity to move beyond day-to-day IPC activities and take on a highly visible clinical leadership role — influencing practice, driving improvement and working alongside clinical teams to make care safer for every patient, every day.
As a senior clinical leader, you will provide expert advice and guidance across our services, lead quality and improvement initiatives, support the management of complex infection prevention issues and help translate contemporary evidence into everyday clinical practice.
You will work collaboratively with nursing, medical, allied health and operational leaders, while contributing to education, surveillance, strategic priorities and the ongoing development of Cabrini's infection prevention and control program.

Key Responsibilities
Provide expert infection prevention and control advice and clinical leadership.
Lead investigations into healthcare-associated infections and outbreaks.
Develop and deliver infection prevention policies, education and training.
Conduct audits, surveillance,
risk assessments and data analysis aligned with NSQHS Standard 3.
Support and mentor staff while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and service outcomes.
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Graduate Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control (or working towards).
National Hand Hygiene Initiative (NHHI) Hand Hygiene Educator accreditation (or working towards).
Minimum five years' post-registration nursing experience.
At least two years' experience in Infection Prevention and Control.
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
