About the role Provide academic leadership for the University's Higher Degree by Research curriculum and researcher development programs, driving curriculum renewal and enhancing the research candidate experience.
The role leads the delivery of researcher training, supports student progression and research integrity, develops career-ready skills, and contributes to teaching, supervision, research, governance and continuous improvement across the University.
Key Responsibilities Design, coordinate and teach research coursework and research training subjects that support HDR candidates and emerging researchers.
Develop,



deliver and evaluate workshops, seminars, online learning resources and other researcher development activities for HDR candidates.
Support HDR candidate induction, research skills development, education and career development initiatives.
Develop and deliver supervisor development and professional learning programs that support high-quality research supervision.
Supervise Higher Degree by Research candidates and contribute to the support and progression of HDR students throughout the candidature lifecycle.
Conduct and publish high-quality research, contribute to the University's research profile, and engage in scholarly and professional activities relevant to the discipline.
Seek internal and external research funding opportunities and contribute to collaborative research initiatives where appropriate.
Provide expert advice and support to HDR candidates, supervisors and academic staff on matters relating to research training, supervision and researcher development.
Contribute to the development, review and implementation of policies, procedures and resources relating to HDR education, research training and supervision.
Participate in University committees, working groups, administrative activities and stakeholder engagement initiatives that support HDR quality, researcher development and research culture.
Qualifications,



skills experience A level B Academic Staff Member will have qualifications and/or experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
A PhD in relevant discipline area that UNDA offers Higher Degrees by Research.
Research track record in a relevant discipline area that UNDA offers Higher Degrees by Research.
Significant experience in tertiary education, including in teaching and coordinating courses Benefits Fitness Passport on offer.
