The Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a leading organisation based in Macquarie Park on an initial 6-month contract.
Working within a collaborative and high-performing finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations and broader accounting activities.
This role will provide exposure to a range of stakeholders across the business and is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while also contributing to process improvements and finance projects.
Key Responsibilities Manage month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and detailed variance analysis.
Support audit, compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
Partner with internal stakeholders and provide financial insights and support.
Assist with finance projects and process improvement initiatives.




Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
About You Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role.
Robust technical accounting and month-end experience.
Excellent reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
CA/CPA qualification or working towards qualification is highly regarded.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
Available to commence immediately or at short notice.
