Monadelphous is seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our PNG Operations team.
Initially based in our Brisbane Head Office, Monday to Friday until December ****, the role will transition to a site-based role until approximately mid-****.
This is a fast-paced leadership position responsible for driving the implementation of HSE strategy, management systems, and initiatives across the Business Unit.
Working closely with operational leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders, you will provide expert HSE advice and assurance, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, company standards, and industry best practice while fostering a strong safety culture and delivering continuous improvement in HSE performance Key responsibilities include: Lead the delivery of HSE support, advice, assurance activities, investigations, audits, inspections, and training across PNG Operations to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Partner with business leaders and project teams to drive risk management, improve HSE performance, and embed a proactive safety culture Support the development and delivery of HSE training and competency initiatives, including Training Needs Analysis (TNA), identification of competency gaps, training planning, delivery and evaluation of training effectiveness.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE systems, processes, standards, and business unit plans to support operational requirements and legislative compliance.
Lead, coach, and influence stakeholders at all levels to build capability, accountability,



and a culture where "The Safe Way is the Only Way."
What you will bring Diploma in OHS/WHS or higher – essential.
Significant experience in a senior HSE role within the Oil and Gas industry will be highly regarded.
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, management systems, risk management principles, and industry best practice, with the ability to effectively manage risk and drive compliance.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and support teams in achieving positive HSE outcomes Demonstrated incident investigation capability, including the ability to lead significant investigations, identify underlying and systemic causes, develop effective corrective actions, and coach and support site HSE personnel and operational leaders through the investigation process Proof of right to work in Australia Previous experience in PNG desirable Life at Monadelphous We celebrate our diversity and shared values and are committed to inclusion and equal opportunities for all.
