St John of God Horizon House St John of God Horizon House provides safe, stable accommodation and tailored support for young people aged 16 to 22 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Western Australia and Victoria.
At Horizon House, we provide strengths-based, trauma-informed care that recognises each young person's unique experiences, abilities and goals.
Our role is to support young people to develop the skills, confidence and connections they need to move forward independently.
Our dedicated caregivers work alongside young people to understand who they are, what matters to them and what they want to achieve, providing consistent support in a safe and respectful environment.
Horizon House Young Parents Program We have three homes dedicated to supporting young and expecting parents.
Beyond safe accommodation, they offer practical guidance and emotional support to help prepare for the baby's arrival and build confidence in the parenting journey.
About the role As a Youth Worker with the Horizon House Young Parents Program, you will support young and expecting parents aged 16 to 22 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
This is a permanent part-time position, primarily working overnight shifts.
Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed and relationship-focused approach, you will help young people build confidence, develop life and parenting skills, and work towards independence and positive future outcomes.
By providing a safe, supportive and stable environment, you will empower young people to achieve their goals and enhance their wellbeing.
Key responsibilities: Build strong,



trusting relationships with young people, placing their interests and well-being at the forefront of all interactions.
Provide safe and stable long-term accommodation to a young people who are at risk of being homelessness, creating an environment that promotes growth and development Offer outreach, strengths based and practical support to meet the continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.
Assist young people in realising their aspirations and potential, through participating in education, training, and employment services.
Assist in case management and planning for young people Support young people in developing independent living skills You are a compassionate and resilient skilled with experience supporting young people or vulnerable communities.
You bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, an understanding of trauma-informed practice, and a genuine commitment to child safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes for young people.
What You'll Bring Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar and/or minimum 2 years of experience in an area related to youth work and/or case management.
WA Current Drivers Licence Current First Aid and CPR Certificate WA Working with Children Card National Police Clearance Above all,



patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
We can offer you Salary: $80,****** - $86,****** per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation .
Permanent part-time position working 19 hours per week .
Overnight shift position , with applicable shift allowances and penalty rates.
Salary packaging of up to $18,550 on a range of everyday living expenses, including mortgage, rent, meal entertainment and holiday accommodation.
