About the role An exciting opportunity has opened for a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Gold Coast office at a genuinely significant moment.
The region is entering a period of substantial infrastructure investment, with major projects in transport, urban development, and Olympic Games-related works creating a pipeline of geotechnical opportunity that will only grow over the coming years.

You will work within a close-knit and highly capable team, supported by experienced technical leaders and connected to a wider Queensland network spanning Brisbane, Rockhampton, Townsville, and beyond.
The work is varied, technically interesting, and directly tied to the infrastructure that will shape the Gold Coast and South East Queensland for decades to come.
What you will be doing Delivering geotechnical investigations and site assessments across a range of infrastructure and land development projects Preparing and contributing to geotechnical reports, ground models, and design documentation to a high standard Providing construction phase support including field supervision, monitoring, and technical guidance on site Contributing to slope stabilisation, soil stabilisation, ground anchor, and borehole programs across active project sites Maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors, and third parties to ensure project alignment and timely delivery Supporting quality assurance and quality control processes in compliance with Australian standards and relevant specifications Contributing to business development activity and proposal preparation as the Gold Coast pipeline continues to grow Working collaboratively with the broader Queensland team to share technical knowledge and project capacity Participating in pre-start meetings, progress monitoring, and site reporting as required What you will bring A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution Demonstrated experience in geotechnical investigation, site supervision, and construction support Familiarity with Australian geotechnical standards and relevant codes including Austroads and state authority requirements Proficiency in technical software including AutoCAD, with exposure to QGIS or other GIS platforms an advantage Robust communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with clients, contractors,
and stakeholders effectively A commitment to quality assurance and delivering accurate, reliable technical outputs A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine interest in contributing to a high-performing team A current driver's licence and willingness to travel for field work when required Engineers Australia membership or working toward professional registration is highly regarded Why the Gold Coast?
