Fitter Location: Offshore, Equatorial Guinea Reports To: Chief Engineer / First Engineer Rotation: Project-Based Offshore Assignment We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join an offshore vessel operating in Equatorial Guinea.
This is an exciting opportunity for mechanically skilled professionals with marine or offshore experience to play a key role in maintaining essential engine room and marine equipment, ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations.
Working as part of the Engine Room Department, you will support the Chief Engineer and First Engineer in carrying out planned maintenance, repairs, and operational duties while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities Performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of marine and engine room mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
Assisting with troubleshooting and fault-finding activities.
Operating relevant equipment safely and effectively while on company worksites.
Undertaking standby duties during offshore operations.
Supporting general engine room activities as required.
Following the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and completing assigned maintenance tasks.
Providing daily progress updates to the First Engineer.
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
Contributing to a positive Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) culture onboard.
Essential Requirements College-level qualification or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related discipline.
Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant mechanical trade.
Experience carrying out mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair activities in a marine, offshore, industrial, or heavy engineering environment.
Valid Offshore Medical Certificate suitable for the geographical area of work.
Valid Offshore Survival Certification suitable for the geographical area of work.
Strong commitment to secure working practices and operational excellence.
Ability to work effectively within a multicultural offshore team environment.
Desirable Previous experience onboard offshore support, construction, or marine vessels.
Familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
Experience working within engine room operations.
Safety Compliance Work in accordance with company HSEQ policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
Adhere to company ethics, integrity standards, and Code of Conduct.
Support continuous improvement and operational excellence across the vessel.
