We're looking for a passionate and skilledAOD Counsellor Case Manager to join our team in Toowoomba.

As an AOD Counsellor Case Manager, you will support people alcohol and other drug (AOD) challenges.
Through counselling, case management, assessment and advocacy, you'll partner with clients to help them identify goals, build resilience and work towards meaningful and sustainable recovery outcomes.
You'll provide evidence-based, person-centered support and work collaboratively with clients, families,



community services and other stakeholders to ensure individuals receive the care they need.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting intake, screening and assessment processes.
Providing individual counselling and case management support.
Developing tailored recovery and treatment plans with clients.
Delivering a range of clinical and psychosocial interventions.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Participating in case conferences, clinical supervision and team meetings.
Supporting community engagement activities and service promotion.
This role requires working with people presenting with complex needs, including mental health concerns, domestic and family violence, homelessness, financial hardship and other social challenges in addition to AOD-related issues.
This is a part-time (0.8 FTE), ongoing position.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you'll be passionate about helping people achieve positive outcomes and have the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and community partners.
You will also have:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health, behavioural science or human services discipline.




Demonstrated experience supporting people experiencing alcohol and other drug issues, independent of university placements.
Applied knowledge of evidence-based AOD counselling, case management, intake and assessment practices.
Solid organisational and time management skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Well-developed communication, stakeholder engagement and community networking skills.
A current Australian Driver Licence.
A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card or equivalent).
While not essential, we'd also love you to have:
Experience working within an outreach service model.
Knowledge of the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Mental Health sectors.
Experience working within regional or community-based service environments.
