Responsibilities
Participate in the delivery of regular high‐quality releases of our field apps that address users' needs
Routinely test software and mobile applications to ensure both development goals and real‐world use cases are met
Coordinate and increase the use of automated testing through the software development cycle
Collaborate with developers, product engineers, designers, and other stakeholders in Esri to establish test plans, identify gaps in plans, and prioritize manual tests suited for automation
Advocate for quality throughout the software development process and advise on test optimization
Understand and articulate user workflows and define user requirements through testing and analysis of software functions, user interfaces, GIS methods and practices
Facilitate the delivery of onsite holistic testing events and ensure outcomes are incorporated into our software development cycle
Document features, workflows, and functionality for users
Requirements
Experience as a creator and user of field work data collection solutions, including use of both paper and electronic tools
Understanding of field data collection processes including GNSS receivers and workflows; knowledgeable of various mobile platforms and aware of capabilities and limitations for each
Experience with automated testing software, such as UiPath, Smartbear, Selenium or similar, to author and maintain testing in a development environment.
Experience with the following: ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Survey123, QuickCapture, Field Maps,



or Collector
Experience with webhook integration solutions such as Microsoft Power Automate or Make
Knowledge of Open Data Kit (ODK), GeoODK, ODK Collect, Enketo, Fulcrum, form.io, KoBoCollect, CSPro, iFormBuilder, or ONA
Experience working with the following technologies:
iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems
Desktop, server, and mobile GIS
Ability to work closely with the team to build quality software in a constantly evolving setting
Effective time management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Two or more years of GIS experience in a scientific or engineering environment
Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field, depending on position level
Existing work authorization for Australia
Recommended Qualifications
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Git, Git Actions, Jenkins
Experience creating tests for functional, performance, scalability, and durability testing
Experience designing and developing automated integration and regression test cases
Master's in computer science, engineering, or related field
