The Opportunity
Pacific Talent Partners has been exclusively retained to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a prominent, ASX-listed financial services business.
As a market-leading non-bank lender, this organisation maintains a strong presence across residential mortgage, asset finance, securitisation, and wholesale funding markets.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will hold overall accountability for the group's finance, procurement, and commercial finance functions.
The mandate is to drive sustainable financial performance, optimise capital allocation, and ensure flawless execution across financial reporting, treasury, tax, and investor relations.
You will bridge the gap between complex funding markets, regulatory standards, and high-performance commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership:
Partner with the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team to shape financial strategy, commercial priorities, and long-term value creation across the enterprise.
Financial & ASX Governance:
Oversee statutory financial reporting, ensuring strict compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, ASX Listing Rules, continuous disclosure obligations, and the Corporations Act.
Capital & Treasury Discipline:
Direct capital management recommendations and partner closely with Treasury and Securitisation teams to optimise warehouse facilities, securitisation programs, and overall cost of funds.
Investor Relations & Market Engagement:
Lead investor relations discipline, serving as a primary liaison to institutional shareholders, research analysts, rating agencies,



and banking partners.
Planning & Decision Support:
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and data analytics to drive cost efficiency, margin management, and evidence-based decision-making.
Finance Transformation & Leadership:
Develop and inspire a high-performing finance team, embedding productive systems, process automation, and scalable operating rhythms fit for an ASX-listed entity.
Taxation & Stakeholder Management:
Ensure full compliance across tax obligations and establish trusted relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Core Competencies
Executive Leadership:
A proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive within an ASX-listed, regulated, or complex financial services environment.
Financial Services Expertise:
Deep knowledge of residential mortgages, asset finance, securitisation, warehouse funding structures, and capital markets.
Governance & Regulatory Acumen:
Comprehensive understanding of ASX Listing Rules, continuous disclosure expectations, Corporations Act requirements, and Australian Accounting Standards.
Capital & Treasury Literacy:
Strong experience in capital management, dividend strategy, liquidity optimisation, and engaging with capital markets stakeholders.
Commercial & Strategic Mindset:
The ability to translate complex financial and portfolio data into actionable enterprise insights that drive shareholder returns.
Stakeholder Management:
Exceptional communication skills with a track record of building credibility with Boards, Audit Committees, investors, analysts, and rating agencies.
