About therole:
We arecurrently seeking a Community Practitioner to join our team inRockhampton.
Our Community Practitioner provides counselling andsupport to individuals, young people and families who are subjectto child protection interventions.

What will atypical day look like?
Engage youngpeople, carers, and young people's families through the use ofa range of counselling and strength-based therapeuticinterventions, tools, perspectives and strategies to improvewellbeing
Assist families todevelop knowledge and skills to provide relevant and positivecare for children and young people
Promote and developpositive working relationships with stakeholders and networksto improve support for young people, carers, and young people'sfamilies
Workcollaboratively with a young person & their care team to helpsupport placement stability and wellbeing of youngperson
Support youngpeople to manage maladaptive and challenging behaviours throughsupporting young people to identify worries and issues andsetting mutually agreed and achievable goals
Contribute to andfacilitate the delivery of educational programs to encouragethe development of knowledge, skills and confidence in parentsand carers to provide care to children and youngpeople
MandatoryRequirements:
Bachelor orpost-graduate qualifications in Social Services, Psychology,counselling or similar are mandatory.
Experience in asimilar counselling role is highly desirable.
