Maintenance Fitter | Beverage Manufacturing | Welshpool
$50–$55 per hour + Penalties | Day shift to start
Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for a beverage manufacturing site based in Welshpool.
This is a great opportunity for a trade-qualified fitter who enjoys hands‐on maintenance work in a quick‐paced production environment, with strong hourly rates, overtime opportunities and the potential to progress into shift coverage once trained and competent.
About the Role
Maintain, service and troubleshoot beverage manufacturing equipment across blending, filling, labelling, packing and robot palletising lines
Carry out maintenance on utilities and services equipment including water treatment plant, effluent plant, boilers, steam equipment and high- and low-pressure compressors
Support preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement activities across the site
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
Complete work in line with site safety, quality and operational procedures

$*****–$***** per hour plus penalties
Day work to start, with core hours of 6:00am–3:00pm Monday to Friday
Overtime available, including Saturday work
Potential to move into 12-hour day/night shift work on a 24x6 roster once trained and competent to cover breakdown fitter duties
About You
Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner or equivalent
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, beverage, packaging or similar industrial environments
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenanceAbility to work safely, communicate clearly and support a team-based maintenance environment
Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a busy production setting
