experienced Veterinary Nurse
to join a well-established, independent small-animal veterinary hospital in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

About the Role
This is a hands-on nursing position where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to utilise and further develop a broad range of veterinary nursing skills.
Responsibilities will include:
Anaesthetic monitoring and perioperative patient care
Blood collection and sample preparation
IV catheter placement
In-house diagnostics and laboratory work
Cytology
Nurse consultations
Patient monitoring and hospital care
Assisting veterinarians with medical and surgical procedures
Safe and compassionate handling of cats and dogs
Client communication and education
Maintaining high standards of patient welfare and nursing care
Training and support will be provided for nurses who require further development or upskilling in specific areas.

About You
The ideal candidate will be:
Certificate IV qualified in Veterinary Nursing
Experienced, with a minimum of two years' veterinary nursing experience
Confident with anaesthesia and patient monitoring
Comfortable handling both cats and dogs
Familiar with fear-free and low-stress handling techniques
Motivated, responsible and proactive
Well organised with strong time-management skills
Passionate about patient welfare and delivering exceptional nursing care
Committed to ongoing professional development
A positive team member who enjoys collaborating with veterinarians and fellow nurses
