The Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a well-established Australian business operating across a complex, multi-entity environment.
This is a great prospect for someone who enjoys being more than just the "numbers person" - you'll have genuine influence across the wider business, with the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls, develop the team and work closely with the CFO on key financial and commercial matters.
Your responsibilities will include: Lead the Group's financial control, corporate accounting, consolidation, transactional finance, treasury, taxation and external reporting functions Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process across a complex multi-entity Group Lead the Group consolidation process and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and Group policies Maintain and strengthen the Group's financial control framework, including balance sheet reconciliations, accounting policies, approval controls and segregation of duties Lead the annual external audit process, managing auditors, advisers and key deliverables through to completion Oversee AP, AR and transactional finance operations, ensuring strong processes, controls and service levels Develop and maintain Group cash flow forecasts and working capital analysis, with a focus on liquidity,
debtor performance and cash commitments Oversee the Group's Australian tax compliance, including income tax, GST, FBT and transfer pricing Support the CFO with treasury, funding, banking and cash management matters Prepare and review reporting for the Board, Audit Risk Committee and Executive Leadership Team Partner with senior stakeholders and business unit finance teams to provide insight and support decision making Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes, controls and transactional workflows The Candidate Strong experience as a Group Financial Controller/Finance Manager within a complex multi-entity environment Robust technical accounting, consolidation and external reporting experience Proven experience managing external audits and relationships with advisers Strong ERP experience, ideally SAP Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, including GST, FBT, income tax and transfer pricing A proven track record of improving finance processes, systems and controls Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to confidently present financial information and recommendations to senior leadership How To Apply If you're ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
