Job Description Senior Tax Accountant Public Practice Hybrid $120,000 + Super An established Perth accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a public practice accountant looking for greater client exposure, autonomy and the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio.
Offering a hybrid working arrangement , the position will suit someone who enjoys managing their own client portfolio while remaining part of a collaborative and supportive team.
The Role As Senior Tax Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio of individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs, providing high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals Managing tax compliance requirements across a diverse client portfolio Providing practical tax planning and business advisory support Identifying taxation risks, opportunities and strategies for clients Managing and responding to ATO queries and correspondence Building strong, long-term relationships with clients Working alongside accountants, financial advisers and finance specialists to provide integrated client solutions Reviewing work and providing guidance to junior team members Contributing to improvements across systems,



processes and service delivery Keeping up to date with Australian taxation legislation and regulatory changes About You To be successful, you will ideally have: Solid Australian taxation and compliance experience Previous experience within public practice accounting Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or be working towards completion A relevant Accounting, Finance or Commerce degree Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge Experience with accounting and tax software such as Xero, MYOB or similar Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients The ability to manage competing deadlines and work autonomously Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior accountants would be advantageous What's On Offer Senior-level position with genuine client ownership Diverse portfolio across individuals and businesses Exposure to both compliance and advisory work Hybrid working flexibility Collaborative and experienced team Opportunity to mentor junior accountants and develop your leadership capability Broad exposure across accounting, tax and financial services Long-term career development within an established Perth practice If you are an experienced public practice accountant looking for a role offering autonomy, client interaction and flexibility , we would like to hear from you.
