Job Title Reach Legal Consultant | Governance Lawyer | Sydney Location Sydney Description The Opportunity Join a leading organisation in a role that will strengthen your legal career.
Duration: 12 months Arrangement: Full time (hybrid) (4 days onsite initially) Location: Sydney About You You are an experienced governance lawyer with between 5 and 10 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.
Your Experience Expertise: Demonstrated experience supporting corporate governance functions within a listed entity, government body, regulator or large corporate organisation Robust understanding of governance frameworks, Board and Committee operations, and company secretariat practices from an in-house workplace Experience supporting governance transformation, uplift or remediation projects, including the implementation of governance and regulatory recommendations Proven ability to manage governance workstreams within a broader strategic transformation or programme environment Knowledge of governance obligations, corporate reporting requirements and organisational accountability frameworks Experience advising and supporting stakeholders on governance processes, decision-making frameworks and best practice governance standards Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with project managers, executives, company secretaries and business stakeholders to deliver governance outcomes Ability to identify governance risks,
develop practical solutions and support the implementation of sustainable governance improvements Experience operating within a highly regulated environment and managing sensitive governance issues with discretion and professionalism Attributes: Strategic thinker with the ability to understand organisational governance challenges and contribute to long-term solutions Highly organised with strong project management and prioritisation skills Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on broader programme objectives Pragmatic and solutions-focused with the ability to balance governance requirements and business needs Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and trust across all levels of an organisation Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise and influential governance materials for senior stakeholders Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with executives, company secretaries, project teams and governance professionals Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to quickly understand and assess governance issues Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced project delivery environment Professional,
