Maintenance Fitter – Heavy Plant Fleet Darwin | Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm | Saturday 7:00am–1:00pm Company Car + Fuel Card + Company Phone About the Role A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team.
This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing heavy fixed/mobile plant, machinery and transport fleet equipment.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance Service transport fleet including trailers, dollies and end tippers Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults Complete overhauls, repairs, installations and equipment relocations Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks, including lockout/tagout Assist with construction, maintenance and continuous improvement projects Train and support apprentices and labourers Manage contractors and report equipment issues to management Maintain safe,



clean and organised work areas Operate heavy machinery safely and in accordance with legislation What We're Looking For Relevant Trade Qualification – Cert III/IV or higher Heavy plant experience within metal, manufacturing or mining Experience with fixed/mobile plant and transport fleet Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding skills Pump maintenance experience High Risk Work Licences Strong WHS knowledge, communication and problem-solving skills Valid driver's licence Ability to work independently and as part of a team What's on Offer Permanent, full-time position Company vehicle, fuel card and phone Stable Monday–Saturday roster Long-term career chance Varied heavy plant, fleet and maintenance environment If you're a qualified Maintenance Fitter with heavy plant and fleet experience looking for a long-term opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
